Role Summary In this position, you will be developing electrical vehicle products directly related to high voltage and low voltage electronics from the concept to production launch. During the development and launch phases, you will be working with multiple cross functional teams, suppliers, and production integrators.
The position requires to travel to Rivian plant(s) to support the production launch and ramp-ups, and will report directly to the Director of Mechanical Design. Responsibilities Working in fast-paced environment for various on-vehicle power electronics developments Developing highly technical power electronics components and overall packaging from concepts to production launch Leading to manage PCBA CM as PCBA DRE Leading the cross functional team discussions of the power electronics development in terms of mechanical packaging including the production manufacturing Working with electrical engineering team to improve the PCBA mechanical design and packaging Working with component suppliers for component development including all DFM executions Leading of component and assembly design release working with PLM team through Enovia Working on mechanical design issues by providing root case, corrective resolutions Supporting the product production launch Hosting weekly meetings with component suppliers and other cross functional teams Identifying cost saving item opportunity and developing engineering plans Qualifications Minimum Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related engineering field.
Minimum 6 years of professional work experience in high voltage automotive power electronics product development Technical knowledge and manufacturing process experience in power device cooling and thermal management CATIA CAD tool experience Automotive supplier managing experience Knowledge or experience with sheet metal stamping, casting, wiring harness, and plastic injection molding processes Ability to work independently and manage several challenging projects simultaneously Problem solving capabilities and willing to drive to resolve product technical challenges Always maintains a positive and proactive attitude Pay Disclosure The salary range for this role is USD ,520 for Southern California based applicants.
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus and equity awards.
