THE WORK:

* You'll lead and direct all design activities for School Upgrade and critical repair projects as the District's primary design authority.

* You'll manage the District's design process to ensure compliance with functional, budgetary, environmental, and legal requirements.

* You'll oversee multiple projects from concept through final approval and transition to Project Execution.

* You'll ensure all designs meet LAUSD standards, educational needs, and building code requirements.

* You'll evaluate, select, and recommend architectural firms based on qualifications and performance standards.

* You'll provide clear direction to architects regarding project goals, schedules, sites, standards, and budgets.

* You'll establish and manage a rigorous design review process that maximizes value and long-term durability.

* You'll ensure timely, well-documented decisions that meet all legal documentation requirements.

* You'll review and approve design changes to maintain budget control and project integrity.

* You'll coordinate closely with the Division of the State Architect (DSA) and District professional staff.

* You'll collaborate with internal District departments to align environmental, operational, and occupancy requirements.

* You'll participate in community outreach efforts to build understanding and support for District building projects.

* You'll develop and lead continuing education initiatives to share best practices with architects and contractors.

* Onsite at client site:
The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.

$174,909 - $192,400 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio or Washington as set forth below.

Qualification

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

* Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor's degree in Architecture or Engineering

* Minimum 10 years full time paid professional experience managing the facilities design, or the planning and coordination of capital projects that includes the overall design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling activities

* 5 years of this experience must be with the design, planning and construction of educational facilities or similar public agencies

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

* A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California State Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
