Job Description:Parsons is seeking an exceptionally talented Security Operations Specialist (Physical Security) to join our team. In this role you will perform integrated, multidisciplinary assessments of the survivability of critical U.S. Air Force mission systems, infrastructures, and assets.
What You'll Be Doing:- Conduct assessments of installation and facility’s ability to protect personnel, critical assets, and missions from physical attacks and to deter, detect, defend, and respond to an attack.
- Assess identified assets and supporting infrastructure to determine vulnerabilities that could pose a risk to mission.
- Provide recommendations to reduce overall risk by preventing or mitigating damage to or destruction of mission‑critical systems should a plausible threat be carried out.
- Review overall physical security posture, security operations, physical security systems designed to deny and delay, lock and key systems, access control procedures, electronic security systems designed to detect and assess intrusion, insider threat mitigation, and response force capabilities for possible weaknesses and deficiencies.
- Utilize expert knowledge of all aspects of risk management, security operations, and advanced security technologies.
- Knowledge of the security needs for a wide variety of mission‑critical infrastructure, including network and data centers, telecommunications systems, airfields, nuclear weapons systems, forward operating bases, and the defense industrial base.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD Security Directives, including their development and implementation of Air Force Security directives.
- Knowledge of all DoD/Air Force force protection/anti‑terrorism programs and requirements.
- Knowledge of all aspects of security management, security operations, and security system analysis.
- Understand how to conduct Pre‑Assessment Phase activities (e.g., Mission Analysis and Pre‑Site Survey (PSS) work), Assessment Phase activities (on‑site vulnerability and risk assessments), and Post‑Assessment Phase activities (e.g., Post Analysis, Report Writing, and MAJCOM follow‑up).
- Must have an Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% per year.
- Must have a valid U.S. passport.
- Ability to conduct assessments.
- Be able to provide specific SME assistance to Technical Support Projects (TSPs).
- Provide Design Review assistance and technical assistance to the Home Team.
An active Top Secret security clearance is required.
