OverviewQuail Ridge Animal Hospital is a well‑established, community‑trusted hospital in Carson City, NV, serving small animals and a few exotics. The facility features 5 exam rooms, a surgical suite, and advanced diagnostics such as digital dental X‑ray, ultrasound, and cold laser. We are open Monday through Friday with no after‑hours or emergency care.
Position OverviewThe Medical Director provides medical leadership for the hospital, manages associate veterinarians, ensures regulatory compliance, and drives financial performance in partnership with the Hospital Manager.
Responsibilities- Oversee surgical and medical cases, ensuring positive outcomes and accurate estimates.
- Answer client questions regarding procedures and provide education.
- Direct medical standards, quality of care, and inventory management.
- Establish medical protocols and monitor transfer of cases.
- Minimize waste and control costs for supplies, instruments, and drugs.
- Participate in recruiting and interviewing for doctors and staff.
- Monitors doctor performance and production.
- Develop hospital‑specific client compliance protocols.
- Support the Hospital Manager with staff training and CE tracking.
- Drive revenue and hospital contribution growth, manage expenses, and prepare annual budgets.
- Monitor key financial reports and encourage community involvement.

- Dexterity and precision in animal handling and procedures.
