Summary
Seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist to set up and run CNC machines, inspect finished parts, and develop/interpret G-code for production and prototype work. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and able to accurately indicate a part and find center for proper setup and fixturing.
Key Responsibilities- Set up CNC machines including fixtures, tooling, and work offsets
- Load, run, and monitor CNC jobs; make adjustments as needed
- Read, write, and edit G-code programs
- Indicate parts, locate datums, and find part center using indicators, edge finders, or probes
- Inspect finished parts to print using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
- Perform first article and in-process inspections
- Troubleshoot machining or quality issues and make corrections
- Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain a clean work area
- Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams
- Proven experience setting up and operating CNC machines
- Strong working knowledge of G-code programming and troubleshooting
- Ability to indicate a part and accurately find and set center
- Experience inspecting parts to print tolerances
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and basic GD&T
- Reliable attendance and ability to work on‑site
- Technical or vocational training in CNC machining or manufacturing
- Experience with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion, Gibbs
CAM, etc.) - Experience with multiple CNC controls (Haas, Fanuc, Mazak, Siemens)
- Experience with probing systems and tool presetters
