At Sierra Nevada Specialty Care, we believe exceptional patient care starts with a dedicated team. We’re seeking a compassionate and organized Medical Assistant to help keep our clinic running smoothly and support both patients and providers throughout each visit.
What You’ll DoAs a Medical Assistant, you’ll blend clinical and administrative responsibilities to ensure a seamless patient experience and support provider efficiency.
Clinical Support (75%)
Room patients promptly and accurately, record vitals, and review medications and social history to prepare the provider’s office note.
Assist providers during exams and procedures.
Prepare lab specimens, perform basic in-office lab tests, and sterilize medical instruments.
Administer medications as directed and authorize prescription refills.
Coordinate referrals and schedule tests such as x-rays, MRIs, and lab work.
Administrative Support (25%)
Prepare and update patient charts, including collecting lab, diagnostic, and hospital admission records.
Scan, index, and organize medical documentation from outside providers.
Screen and route phone calls, schedule patient appointments, and assist patients and visitors with professionalism and care.
Experience: Minimum 2 years as a Medical Assistant or similar clinical role preferred.
Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
Skills: Well-organized, excellent multitasking and time management abilities, compassionate patient interaction, and strong communication skills.
Frequent walking, standing, bending, and stooping throughout the day within the clinic.
Occasional travel to satellite clinics may be required.

Monday–Friday schedule—no weekends or major holidays.
