Overview
Join ROC as a Physical Therapist at our Carson City, Nevada Clinic. This position will remain posted until filled. This role supports growth and excitement within our physical therapy clinics.
What would you do as a Physical Therapist?
Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain, or prevent physical dysfunction in patients;
- Review physician's referral and patient medical records and confer with patient and appropriate medical practitioners to plan, implement, and assess the intervention program;
- Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation;
- Test, measure and record in the patient s electronic medical record the patient s strength, motor development, functional capacity, sensory perception, and respiratory and/or circulatory efficiency;
- Analyze patient progress and data, record in the electronic medical record and modify interventions to achieve anticipated goals and expected outcomes, including referring to other practitioners as needed;
- Educate patients about injury prevention, ergonomics, and ways to promote health;
- Instruct patients in the use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes as well as in treatment procedures to be continued at home;
- Discharge patients from physical therapy when goals or projected outcomes have been attained; provide for appropriate follow-up care or referrals;
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality to minimize impacts to clinic staffing schedules;
- Provide customer service and patient care, maintain confidentiality, and abide by HIPAA requirements.
- Degree from an accredited physical therapy program;
- Active/unrestricted Nevada Physical Therapy license from the Nevada State Board.
- Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) certification;
- Two years of experience in an orthopedic rehabilitation setting.
Travel:
This position may require travel to other clinic locations based on manager discretion.
