Position: Security & Slot Technician (MOD) Graveyard

Max Casino is seeking a skilled and vigilant graveyard Security and Slot team member to join our team, with additional responsibilities as a Manager on Duty (MOD). This position is pivotal in maintaining the casino floor's overall safety and security while ensuring the proper functioning of gaming machines. The Security and Slot (MOD) will be responsible for handling security issues, resolving conflicts, and assisting patrons, as well as maintaining and repairing slot machines, responding to jackpots, and handling payouts.

This role requires a strong understanding of casino operations, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

WORK HOURS

Graveyard Shifts as needed. This position does not have a guaranteed/set schedule and is subject to change as business needs require.

TIP COMPLIANCE

Tips are reported on an actual basis. Participation is required.

WAGE

$15.00-$16.00 per hour, DOE, plus tips and benefits

Security Duties
  • Monitor the casino floor to ensure the safety and security of patrons and staff.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies, resolving conflicts and maintaining order.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the casino floor, identifying and addressing any security risks or breaches.
  • Collaborate with other security team members and law enforcement agencies as needed.
  • Assist with the enforcement of casino policies and procedures, including age restrictions and gaming regulations.
Slot Technician Duties
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on casino slot machines, ensuring they are operating smoothly and efficiently.
  • Respond to technical issues or malfunctions with slot machines, diagnosing problems and implementing solutions.
  • Serve as the point of contact for patrons when jackpots are hit, assisting with payouts and resolving any related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance and repairs, including parts inventory and service logs.
  • Assist with the installation, relocation, and removal of gaming machines as needed.
  • Refill paper and other supplies for slot machines, ensuring they are stocked and operational.
Manager on Duty (MOD) Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Manager on Duty during assigned shifts, overseeing casino operations and staff performance.
  • Address any guest concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate activities and resolve operational issues.
  • Enforce casino policies and procedures, including those related to safety, security, and responsible gaming.
  • Assist in training and supervising staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
Qualifications
  • Must be registered with or have the ability to obtain a license from the Gaming Control Board.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Previous experience in security, slot machine maintenance, or a related field is required.
  • Knowledge of casino operations, including gaming regulations and security protocols.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patrons and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
