Job Description

Join our team as a Test Engineer responsible for defining and implementing manufacturing and test processes for Satellite PCBA sub-systems. You will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between internal engineering, operations teams, and our manufacturing partners to ensure seamless integration and optimization of test setups and processes.

• Develop and optimize test strategies and setups at Contract Manufacturing sites, including the design and qualification of test fixtures, equipment, and diagnostic software.
• Collaborate with Design and Manufacturing teams to identify and address manufacturing challenges, enforcing DFM and DFT principles.
• Identify and report product failures to manufacturing and quality teams.
• Train operators on processes and support recurring certification programs.
• Record, analyze, and report process metrics to predict and mitigate process failures.
• Investigate root causes of process failures and implement corrective actions.
• Manage configuration changes and enforce configuration control throughout the process.

• Proficiency in test equipment, test engineering, PCB testing, test case development, and electronics debugging and testing.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting or on a manufacturing floor.
• Experience working with customers or contract manufacturers.
• Proficiency in LabVIEW, Python, and test development and planning.
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience building test fixtures and complex test systems, including RF Functional Tests, High Power Electrical Tests, ICT/bed-of-nails.
• 4+ years of experience integrating software and hardware systems.
• 4+ years’ experience using standard electronic lab test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters).

• 4+ years of experience designing and building complex test systems, including ICT, bed-of-nails, BIST, and functional tests.
• Experience in test plans and protocols related to established Space Hardware test processes (GEVS / SMC-S-016).
• Knowledge of software tools for test automation (e.g., NI LabVIEW and Test Stand, Python).
• Experience with power supplies, FPGAs, sensors, RF, and high-speed digital interfaces.
• Experience in the space/aerospace sector is a plus.
• Experience in RF is highly beneficial.
• Test automation experience with Python or NI tools.

The position requires sitting onsite at a customer site in Carson City, NV. Expect approximately 50% travel to Contract Manufacturers (Nevada, Oregon, San Jose) and significant travel to Mexico. The role involves testing and troubleshooting incoming PCBA assemblies for the Contract Manufacturers and developing test cases and procedures.

This is a Contract position based out of Carson City, NV.

The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Carson City,NV.
