Job Overview
Kforce’s Sustainable Energy Client, located in Sparks, NV, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for its Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) team. This role focuses on creating a sustainable circular economy for lithium‑ion batteries by transforming recycled materials into high‑quality battery components. The engineer will work primarily in Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) and will contribute across all project phases.
Base Pay Range$50.00/hr – $65.00/hr
Responsibilities- Work independently and collaboratively on design and technical solutions.
- Assist in developing solutions for projects in all phases.
- Perform I&C assignments with general direction and minimal supervision.
- Use Revit to produce construction drawings for the I&C discipline, including instrument location, control panel, raceway, low‑voltage power distribution, one‑line diagrams, lighting, grounding, and data/communications layouts.
- Assist in performing photometric studies with lighting design software.
- Drive multi‑discipline collaboration on equipment general arrangements, tie‑in lists, and material takeoffs.
- Develop process improvements, workflows, and templates to increase design productivity.
- Assist in code analysis of NEC, IECC, and other applicable NFPA standards.
- Learn, advance, and increase quality through construction observation and administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of SKM or equivalent fire‑safety tool.
- Working knowledge of UL508A standard for industrial control panel design and construction.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
- Highly motivated, proactive, well‑organized, and detailed‑oriented.
