Electronic Technician – 2nd Shift at Chromalloy Corporation

Position SummaryLaser setup and troubleshooting, laser application, equipment design and building, electronic design and repair, and calibration of electronic and pneumatic instrumentation. The electronics technician conducts, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. The role applies knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to operation while providing skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing.
PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities
- Electronic troubleshooting for temperature control, CNC control, and PLC‑controlled systems.
- Install, test, start up, and shut down control systems compliant with OSHA standards.
- Perform lockout/tagout procedures.
- Operate DMM and oscilloscope.
- Maintain performance and maintenance records for identified equipment.
- Read electronic diagrams, blueprints, and ladder logic.
- Adhere to safety procedures, protocols, and quality requirements (RSM/QCM, ISO/Total Customer Satisfaction).
- Ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Two‑year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship program (or equivalent) in a technical field.
- Three to five years of proven experience in electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic fields.
- Three years’ computer experience / operation and PLC programming a plus.
- Must pass related job test.
- Completion of electronics, laser, and process instrumentation training.
- Proficient English reading and writing.
- Basic math skills.
- Computer literate.
- Logical thinking.
- Good hand dexterity.

The position may involve export‑controlled technology;
Chromalloy will determine any additional authorization required.
