Child Care Aide Student

Summary

The Child Development Center is recruiting for student employee Teacher’s Aide. This individual will organize activities with children following the curriculum prepared by the head teacher, including singing, reading stories, language arts, and other developmentally appropriate activities throughout the day. Additional duties include cleaning, organizing the environment, interacting with children during various activities, promoting spontaneous reading, word play, navigation and problem‑solving social interactions, assisting in conflict resolution, and maintaining the safety of the environment.

Organize activities with children in accordance with the curriculum and other developmentally appropriate tasks as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• TB test required upon hire.
• Initial training to be completed within 90 days of employment: CPR, First Aid, Symptoms of Illness, Child Abuse and Neglect, SIDS, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ECE degree; classes in early childhood preferred, but not required.
• Experience in child care preferred, but not required.
