Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a Texas licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber to join our team in the role of Field Supervisor. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take on a leadership role within a growing, reputable company.

As a Field Supervisor with Lawton Commercial Services – DFW Plumbing Division, you will play a key leadership role in field operations by overseeing day‑to‑day job site activities, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service. You will serve as a critical liaison between field crews, management, and customers, fostering clear communication and strong working relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment and skill level of personnel.
  • Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
  • Guide, direct and motivate subordinates through setting and communicating performance standards and enforcement of established policies and procedures.
  • Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings.
  • Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
  • Requisition materials and supplies, tools, equipment and replacement parts.
  • Inspect, test, and measure completed work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards and repair requirements.
  • Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures and equipment use.
  • Implement and evaluate maintenance policies and procedures and ensure compliance.
  • Compute estimates and actual costs of factors such as materials, labor and outside contractors for bid approvals.
  • Examine objects, systems and facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services and repairs.
  • Confer with technicians, management and customers to coordinate work activities, resolve employee grievances and identify and review resource needs.
  • Monitor tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shop to ensure efficient and effective work conditions, security and accountability.
  • Perform skilled repair or maintenance operations using equipment such as hand or power tools, hydraulic presses or shears and welding equipment.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to construct templates and lay out reference points for workers.
  • Counsel employees about work‑related issues and assist employees to correct job‑skill deficiencies in coordination with HR when necessary.
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges or disciplinary measures in coordination with management and HR.
  • Review, evaluate, accept, and coordinate completion of work bid from contractors.
  • Compile operational and personnel records such as time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance statistics and test results.
  • Utilize electronic maintenance programs or computer information management systems.
  • Meet with vendors and suppliers to discuss products used in repair work, tools and supply inventory management.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in the plumbing trade as a licensed technician.
  • Minimum of 5 years of verifiable supervisory experience.
Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:
  • Valid TEXAS Journeyman or Master Plumber License Required.
  • Valid Texas Driver License.
  • OSHA 30 certification is a plus.
Work Environment:
  • Ability to work under stressful conditions which may include verbal confrontations.
  • Must be able to work extended hours, nights and weekends.
  • Ability to stand, walk and climb ladders and stairs.
  • Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
  • Natural or corrected vision to see and focus for close, distance, peripheral vision with normal depth perception.
