Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
Are you the kind of technician who takes pride in keeping critical systems online, production moving, and downtime near zero? We’re looking for a hands-on Facilities Maintenance Technician who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and understands that utilities are the backbone of operational excellence.
This is not a “change light bulbs and patch drywall” role. This is mission-critical infrastructure.
What You’ll Own
You will be the guardian of our plant’s core utility systems — ensuring uptime, reliability, and safety across the facility.
Utilities & Critical Systems
- Maintain and troubleshoot compressed air systems (compressors, dryers, receivers, distribution piping)
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and process water systems
- Maintain HVAC systems including rooftop units, air handlers, exhaust systems, and environmental controls
- Respond rapidly to utility failures to minimize production downtime
- Monitor system performance and drive energy efficiency improvements
Maintenance & Infrastructure
- Perform maintenance and repairs on building systems including lighting, electrical distribution (within scope), plumbing, walls, floors, and ceilings
- Maintain dock doors, dock levelers, seals, and associated equipment
- Support installation and modification of facility equipment and infrastructure
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects
Your Impact
In this role, you directly influence:
- Regulatory compliance (OSHA, FDA, SQF, environmental)
- Equipment reliability
- Energy efficiency
- Overall plant safety culture
When utilities fail, production stops. Your expertise keeps operations running.
What You Bring
Experience
- 3–7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment (plastics, injection molding, or blow molding preferred)
- Hands-on experience with compressed air systems, chillers, and HVAC
- Strong preventive and corrective maintenance background
Technical Capability
- Proven troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and utility systems
- Working knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, and control systems
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Experience using CMMS systems preferred
Professional Strengths
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures
- Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs
- May require occasional overtime, weekend, or on-call support
If you take pride in keeping mission-critical systems operating at peak performance and want to play a vital role in plant reliability and safety, we encourage you to apply.
