GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Maintenance Technician will use their talents and gifts to maintain the mechanical aspects of the buildings and property of Bent Tree Bible Fellowship with hands on craftsmanship and leadership of staff and servants assigned.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Advanced skills in using hand tools and standard shop equipment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, independently, and show initiative
- Ability to organize multiple tasks simultaneously with excellence while operating with thoroughness and attention to details.
- Ability to drive Church and/or personal vehicle for various tasks and able to meet the requirements to pass a Motor Vehicle Report inquiry
- Ability to communicate confidently and accurately in verbal, written, and demonstrative form. Ability to listen, understand, and ask questions for clarification.
- With or without reasonable accommodations, able to: walk, stand, sit, talk, hear; operate objects, motor vehicles, heavy equipment, machinery, tools, controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb; vision abilities to see close, far, color, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to perform heavy work: exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Maintain and repair HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical to OSHA, Church, industry, and/or other recognized standards at all times.
- Maintain tools and equipment in working condition and up to recognized safety standards.
- Troubleshoot systems, equipment, and processes and confidently make mid-course corrections as needed.
- Design and/or build projects as established by Director of Facilities.
- Purchase supplies, materials, and equipment for projects within accordance to the Church Expense Reimbursement Policy.
- Monitor, educate, and manage the safety of staff and servants at all times.
- Manage time and projects through sound time management skills and Facilities processes and procedures.
- Paint and repair interior walls as needed.

- High School diploma or equivalent
- 5+ years’ experience in Maintenance and/or Construction
