PRN shifts are night shifts and a minimum of 2 per week is required for this position.

• Perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
• Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
• Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
• Assist with placement of artificial airways.
• Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
• Monitor patient for therapeutic response. Notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
• Assist with transportation of ventilator‑dependent patients.
• Respond to emergent patient situations and ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation as required.

• Certificate (State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician or State Registered Respiratory Therapist).
• Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT), or Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (LCRT), or RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT / RCP).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor, must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
