Position SummaryLiquid Stack is seeking a high-caliber Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our growing Finance team. This role partners closely with the CFO and senior leadership, providing hands‑on financial analysis and insights that support strategic decision‑making as the company scales. This position is intentionally scoped for an early‑to‑mid‑career FP&A professional (2–4 years of experience) who has a strong accounting foundation and is ready to expand beyond execution into increased ownership, exposure, and business partnership within a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Build, maintain, and continuously improve financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning
- Analyze income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow performance with a strong understanding of underlying accounting drivers
- Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and periodic reforecasts
- Perform monthly variance analysis versus budget and forecast, identifying key performance drivers and business risks
- Develop and enhance management reporting, dashboards, and KPIs to support operational and strategic decisions
- Prepare executive‑ready financial materials and analyses for senior management, contributing to monthly business reviews and leadership presentations
- Partner cross‑functionally with Accounting, Operations, Sales, Manufacturing, and other teams to ensure financial alignment, transparency, and informed decision‑making
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and strategic initiatives, including scenario modeling and business cases, with exposure to transaction or integration‑related work as the company scales
- Help scale and improve FP&A processes, tools, and reporting as the business grows
Skills and Abilities
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA track strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of financial statements and core accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, formulas, and data analysis
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, take ownership of deliverables, and work effectively in a team‑oriented environment
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to explain financial results to non‑finance partners, translating financial data into business insights
Preferred Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Public accounting (Big Four or mid‑sized firm)
- Corporate FP&A or financial analysis role
- Investment banking, transaction advisory, or similar analytical role
Hands‑on experience supporting
- Budgeting and forecasting processes
- Variance analysis and performance tracking
- Management reporting and dashboard development
- Experience partnering with cross‑functional teams and presenting insights to finance or business leaders
- Exposure to a high‑growth, operational, or technology‑driven company environment
