Mechanical Engineer – Carrollton, TX (On-Site)

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join the Carrollton, Texas facility. In this role, you will design, develop, and enhance new and existing products, components, and fabrications while ensuring product integrity, technical accuracy, and manufacturability. You will take products from concept through prototype, validation, and final release to manufacturing and distribution. This is a hands‑on, project‑driven position where engineering directly impacts product quality, performance, and commercial success.
WhatYou’ll Be Doing
- Manage engineering projects, product changes, and new developments from concept through production release while collaborating cross‑functionally with operations, research, and sales.
- Design and develop products and components, preparing detailed layouts, schematics, and drawings using CAD software.
- Plan and oversee prototype builds, direct model shop activities, and analyze test data to confirm performance and functional specifications.
- Conduct feasibility reviews of new product proposals and support business case development to commercialize new products effectively.
- Review initial production runs to ensure quality standards and cost objectives are achieved.
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) using CAD and ERP systems.
- Consult with suppliers to support component selection, design improvements, cost reductions, and root cause analysis.
- Provide design validation and prototype support for continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Oversee installation and field testing of units at customer sites; gather feedback and troubleshoot as needed.
- Develop and maintain product documentation, including manuals, layout drawings, and part drawings.
- Monitor technology trends, customer feedback, and competitive benchmarking to identify future product opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master’s degree a plus).
- 5–8+ years of experience in product design engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects from start to finish.
- Strong working knowledge of 2D and 3D CAD systems (Autodesk Inventor preferred).
- Experience with GD&T, FEA, and DFMEA.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
- Experience creating and managing BOMs within ERP systems.
- Strong analytical and hands‑on problem‑solving skills with the ability to anticipate issues and implement effective solutions.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional manufacturing environment.
