Payroll Specialist/AR/AP

GPAC is currently assisting a growing and stable client with their search for a Bookkeeper/Payroll Specialist. This is a Commercial Roofing company that has been in business for over 15 years and has just had their long‑time bookkeeper put in her two‑week notice. This individual will be responsible for accounting operations and more within the company.

• Planning, directing, and coordinating accounting operational functions
• Annual budgeting and forecasting
• Month­end closing responsibilities
• Preparation of financial statements
• Work with auditors
• Work closely with leadership team
• Ensure compliance
• Process payroll
• Handle AR/AP functions

• B.S. degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred but not required
• Previous AR/AP experience
• Quick Books Desktop experience preferred
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Paychex software experience preferred
• Minimum of two years of payroll/AR/AP experience
• Experience working in the construction industry is preferred
• Strong financial management and business acumen
