Position: Senior Accountant - Carrollton - On-Site (95k-100k + Bonus)

LHH is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a rapidly growing, privately backed organization within the construction and project-based services space. This company is well-established, financially strong, and expanding its operations across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in general accounting and financial reporting, hands-on experience supporting project accounting, and the ability to collaborate closely with both corporate and operational teams.

This is an onsite role based in North Dallas and offers the opportunity to play a key role in a scaling finance organization, working alongside experienced leadership while helping drive process improvements and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage general ledger activities and support accurate, timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP
  • Maintain chart of accounts and ensure consistency across multiple entities and business units
  • Prepare and analyze Percentage of Completion (POC) and Work in Progress (WIP) reporting for active projects
  • Support intercompany accounting, consolidations, and eliminations for group financial reporting
  • Partner with operations and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate expense coding and financial data integrity
  • Assist with monthly financial statement preparation and variance analysis for internal and external reporting
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with the finance team
  • Assist with annual audits, tax filings, and coordination with external auditors and advisors
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state regulations, including sales and use tax reporting
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability
  • Support the implementation and ongoing optimization of ERP systems across multiple locations
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience; construction or project-based industry experience strongly preferred
  • Combination of public accounting and industry experience a plus
  • CPA designation or CPA-eligible strongly preferred
  • Master’s degree (MBA or Accounting) preferred
  • Strong technical knowledge of GAAP
  • Experience with Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting and WIP reporting
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central strongly preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving abilities
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Self-motivated team player with a continuous improvement mindset
