Job SummaryThis position is a leader for the University of West Georgia within the Division of Student Affairs and is located in University Recreation as a full-time, 12-month position with benefits. The Esports Coach directly reports to the Executive Director of the University Recreation and Campus Center and will supervise one graduate assistant and student staff members. The Esports Coach will be responsible for developing and managing the Esports at the University of West Georgia, including training and supervising student staff to assist with managing these experiences.
In addition, this individual will assist with overseeing the Game Room in the Campus Center and organizing creative, innovative opportunities to engage students and external clients.
Travel with Esports teams for all competitions. Acquire and disseminate new knowledge about the rapidly growing field of Esports and knowledge related to game mechanics in Esports. Travel to scout/recruit players. Ensure that program and recruiting activities adhere to University and NACE Policies and Procedures. Manage tryouts and develop a retention program for student athletes.
Educational Requirements Bachelors Degree
