Job Summary
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the accurate billing and timely collection of tuition and fees inclusive of third party sponsors as well as collection, deposit and subsequent recording of all deposits for the university. Provide strategic direction, leadership and oversight of the Bursar office. Create and maintain the systematic and business processes responsible for the accurate assessment of tuition & fees for a growing population of traditional and non-traditional students.
Oversee the financial compliance with Federal, State, Board of Regents, University and private sponsors. Oversight of the collection and accurate recording of University revenues in regards with Tuition and fees, third party sponsors, financial aid and miscellaneous institutional deposits. Responsible for the creation, validation and maintenance of accounting records used in and for billing and collection. Responsible for the integrity of contributing system interfaces between the student system and the general ledger.
Develop training and effective communication to campus community and constituents on business processes and changes that affect them. Maintenance of departmental budget. Assist the Controller with special projects and duties as directed.

- Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting or business related field. - Required Experience:
5+ years of work related experience with 3+ years supervisory experience.
- Three (3) years of Financial Aid/Bursars office experience preferred.
- Experience in higher education or educational setting is preferred.
- Experience with BANNER software preferred.
$91,017 - $95,000 annually. Paid on a monthly basis.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities- Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and supervise staff.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with students/parents, faculty and administrators.
- Excellent customer service skills required.
