Distribution Field Technician.
Job Description:
Join a dynamic team where you will collaborate with another Distribution Field Technician to capture and send images of utility poles to the designer. The designer will liaise with the client to ensure the images meet the necessary data requirements.
- Collaborate with a fellow technician to capture images of utility poles.
- Utilize specialized software to ensure accurate and detailed images.
- Communicate effectively with the designer and client to ensure data accuracy.
- Travel across Georgia and adjacent states to various project sites.
- Engage in data collection and power distribution tasks as needed.
- Familiarity with distribution field technician work.
- Proficiency in using software for capturing images.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Georgia.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in data collection.
- Knowledge of Joint Use, staking, and power poles.
- Flexibility to travel and stay overnight as required by projects.
This position involves an 8-day work cycle followed by 6 days off, with travel required predominantly around the GA/Bama border, extending to Alabama, Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle. Expect to travel weekly, with overnight stays averaging three nights, sometimes extending to four. The work schedule is a 4-day week with 10-hour shifts. Employees will receive a per diem at the GA rate for food and lodging, as well as mileage reimbursement for travel related to pole inspections.
Additionally, technicians may be required to work during storm conditions.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carrollton, GA.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
