Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption, usage and ultimately guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

  • Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

As a Guest Advocate, No Two Days Are Ever The Same, But a Typical Day Will Most Likely Include The Following Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests as you are completing your daily tasks.
  • Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
  • Make the guest aware of current promos, store activities and events
  • Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve the guest experience
  • Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target
  • Know and speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs with every guest and assist with application or sign-up as needed
  • Scan and bag all guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards
  • Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
  • Understand and show guests how to use features within the Target App including Wallet
  • Be familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering, and how to direct the guest to enroll and use these features
  • Handle returns following prompts and collaborate with Leaders as needed to resolve issues per Target policies
  • Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area
  • Stock supplies during store hours while being available for the guest
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
  • Work safely at all times; comply with safety policies and training; report hazards
  • Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-up orders and returns with compliance to laws
  • All other duties based on business needs

  • Accurate checkout operations, transactions, and cash office support as needed
  • Ability to scan, handle and move merchandise safely (lifting up to 10 lb regularly, up to 44 lb occasionally)
