Job DescriptionJob Summary/Objective:
The purpose of Southwire’s College Programs is to help early career professionals bring together formal learning and productive work to improve their ability to transition from school to work. Southwire provides interns and co‑ops with “real world” applications of their academic studies, helpful feedback and coaching, and consideration for employment after graduation. Each student will have a variety of responsibilities and assigned projects that relate to their field of study and be responsible for developing a timeline, progress updates, and final delivery in a senior leadership expo.
Note:
All new interns and co‑ops must begin in the summer rotation.

Key Responsibilities- Your intern assignment is generally 10-12 weeks, and co‑op assignment is generally 16-18 weeks and will include an assigned project and opportunities to present your work.

The Project Management Intern will support the Project Management team through project reporting, with a strong focus on Salesforce implementation and dashboard development. The intern will gain hands‑on experience working with cross‑functional teams, supporting large business initiatives, and working with data and tools that help drive successful project outcomes. The intern must be a self‑starter who takes initiative and proactively supports the project team’s needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining project reports and dashboards to assist project management team with project visibility and tracking.
- Support communication across cross‑functional teams by preparing summaries, workflows, updates, and basic presentations.
- Gather and review data to help identify project trends, risks, or areas for improvement.
- Support Salesforce implementation activities for project management, including updating data, tracking and documenting changes, and creating and maintaining dashboards for visibility.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to reports, templates, and workflows.
- Ability to work in and learn different systems including Excel, BI, Salesforce, SAP, etc.
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
