The Assistant Maintenance Person supports the safe and efficient operation of the care home by helping maintain the premises, equipment, and groun

Care centre for adults with learning disabilities, position involves working as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the care centre. We have online training for all staff.

• Daily Cleaning
  • Empty waste bins and wipe out.
  • Vacuum throughout.
  • Shake out cushions.
  • Clean dining rooms/lounges/toilets.
  • Clean taps and sinks.
  • Clean soap dispenser outlets.
  • Clean toothbrush holders.
  • Spot clean all floorings.
  • Wash all bathroom/toilet/en-suite floors.
• Weekly Cleaning
  • Polish all mirrors.
  • Clean all pipe work in toilets.
  • Dust handrails and radiators.
  • Move all mobile furniture (including beds and chairs) and vacuum and dust beneath/behind.
  • Wash out metal wastepaper bins.
  • Dust and polish furniture and windowsills.
  • Wash lino floors.
  • Shampoo carpets as requested by housekeeper.
  • Week 1 – Dust light bulbs and fittings.
  • Week 2 – Dust curtain rails.
  • Week 3 – Dust pictures.
  • Week 4 – En-suites deep clean.
  • Restock toiletries, soaps, towels etc as and when required.

• Previous experience of a care home would be an advantage but not essential
