The Aftermarket Project Engineer role focuses on leading and delivering non-standard aftermarket projects across a defined customer geography. This role is central to growing our aftermarket offering, driving excellent customer service and identifying commercial opportunities while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to budget.
What you'll be doing- Carry out site visits to scope complex, non-standard and reactive works, producing clear site records and recommendations.
- Prepare accurate technical quotations and proposals that reflect customer requirements and company standards.
- Develop Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and ensure all health and safety requirements are implemented on projects.
- Manage enquiries and leads within your area, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate pricing to support conversion.
- Identify and pursue upsell and cross-sell opportunities to maximise project value and commercial outcomes.
- Deliver customer presentations and technical briefings to support business development and project mobilisation.
- Support the Aftermarket Manager by overseeing projects remotely and on site, coordinating subcontractors, internal teams and client stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project records, handover documentation and close-out packs to ensure high quality project completion and customer satisfaction.
- Practical engineering experience, ideally within aftermarket, water, environmental or building services sectors.
- Proven ability to scope works on site, produce technical quotations and prepare RAMS.
- Strong commercial awareness with experience identifying upsell opportunities and managing customer relationships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to explain technical information clearly to clients and colleagues.
- Organised and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines across a regional patch.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the assigned area.
- Knowledge of relevant health & safety legislation and safe systems of work.
- Relevant technical qualification or demonstrable equivalent experience.
