The RoleWe’re looking for a Medical Journey Experience Editor to develop and maintain high-quality, engaging content that supports students across the full medical school application journey.
Reporting to the Learning Manager and working closely with Product and Marketing, you will own and shape the written experience of the applicant journey - ensuring it is accurate, inspiring, pedagogically sound, and aligned with our platform features.
This role is ideal for someone with first-hand experience of the medical school pathway (or significant experience supporting applicants), combined with strong writing and editorial skills.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Journey Development
- Audit and enhance the medical applicant journey across written and visual content
- Ensure a cohesive and consistent voice throughout the platform
- Collaborate with Product to align content with platform features, including interview preparation tools
- Author, edit and manage content related to:
Medical school interviews
Events and courses
Work experience and volunteering pathways - Develop a deep understanding of the diverse pathways and challenges faced by applicants
- Apply instructional design principles to improve structure, clarity and learner progression
- Conduct interviews with students to gather insight and refine the journey
- Develop and manage a global database of medical school profiles
- Manage production flow, quality control and delivery for freelance contributors
- Own the output of learning content produced by authors, illustrators and copy editors
- Work with Product Marketing to coordinate messaging around updates and curate content for the newsfeed
Essential
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Dentistry or Education
- (Medics with intercalated degrees in teaching or education will be prioritised)
- In-depth knowledge of the medical school journey
- Proven experience writing engaging, learner-focused content
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Postgraduate qualification in Medical Education (PGCert, PGDip, MSc or equivalent)
- Fellowship or Membership of a recognised Medical Education body (e.g. FHEA, FAcadMEd)
- Experience in medical school interviews, clinical teaching or curriculum development
- Experience in digital content creation and project management
- Understanding of instructional design and curriculum development
- Excellent written English and editorial judgement
- Strong storytelling ability — able to make complex journeys clear and motivating
- Customer-focused mindset with empathy for diverse applicant backgrounds
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Collaborative approach across cross-functional teams
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
- Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment
- Interest in future-proofing content strategies, including AI integration
