Functions as Pharmacist licensed by N.C. Board of Pharmacy, supervises all activities of site-level pharmacy department, ensures that all regulations of the N.C. Board of Pharmacy are fulfilled, supervises all pharmacy technicians, directs all patient-pharmacy interactions, participates in all health center meetings as pharmacy representative, supervises pharmacy interns/students assigned to site, directs pharmacy purchasing through 340B purchasing program, serves as member of Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
Pharmacy Manager with N.C. Board of Pharmacy permit responsibility and all duties assigned by permit, supervises all technicians and pharmacists assigned to particular location, supervises medication dispensing when appropriate, provides patient and medical provider consultation, supervises medication ordering process, supervises Patient Assistance medication program, supervises Pfizer Share the Care program, works with Health and Wellness Grant program, serves on P&T Committee.

As Needed
- Utilizes pharmacy knowledge to insure appropriate decisions.
- Assesses individual patient conditions utilizing patient medication record and verbal information.
- Performs patient-focused decision making regarding drug utilization.
- Able to provide appropriate services to all age groups.
- Able to discuss all areas of medication utilization.
- Demonstrates ability to discuss third party payer information with patients.
- Demonstrates ability to provide drug information to medical staff.
- Understands PHS policy and procedures regarding protocols utilized by PHS.
- Demonstrates knowledge of pharmacy law.
- Understands how to provide patient services in a timely manner and with compassion.
- Productive in prescription volume output.
- Supervises pharmacy students at each site.
- Understands revenue and expense statistics for pharmacy.
- Understands role of community health centers.
- Works with patients in a manner that produces a high degree of patient satisfaction.
- Monitors refrigerator temperatures.
- Contributes to quality control/safety by participating in routine checks of emergency cart.
- Participates in Health Center meetings regarding Quality Control/Safety.
- Requires that pharmacy staff understand quality control/safety issues.
- Inspires confidence from staff and patients.
Education: Minimum of B.S. Pharmacy
Required: Must be able to travel to all locations if needed.
Preferred: Bilingual Spanish Speaking
Current/valid License: Licensed in North Carolina by N.C. Board of Pharmacy
Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment
