Compensation: $28.41 – $32.16 per hour
About SeracSerac Inc. designs and manufactures high-quality packaging machinery used by customers worldwide. We are growing and seeking a skilled Electromechanical Assembler II to join our Electrical Assembly team in Carol Stream, IL.
This is a hands‑on manufacturing position focused on building and wiring industrial machinery. This is not an engineering design role.
Position SummaryThe Electromechanical Assembler II is responsible for assembling, wiring, and installing electrical and mechanical components for custom industrial equipment. This role works from electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and bills of materials to complete machine builds according to company standards.
Essential Responsibilities- Assemble and wire electrical control panels and machine components
- Install and terminate wiring for motors, sensors, relays, switches, breakers, and terminal blocks
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
- Perform mechanical assembly tasks including mounting enclosures, drilling, tapping, and routing conduit
- Support equipment testing, troubleshooting, and startup activities
- Complete quality documentation and ensure builds meet internal standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment following 5S principles
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3–5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing or assembly environments
- 3–5 years of hands‑on experience building electrical control panels and performing machine wiring
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical components and wiring practices
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Associate degree in Electro‑Mechanical Technology or related field
- Experience working with pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Forklift, overhead crane, or gantry system experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching
- Ability to work in a manufacturing shop environment
