Clerical Assistant – Carol Stream Center (FWS Only), SF1

Student Worker Eligibility: Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester. Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first‑semester student, GPA requirement is waived. If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities- Assist Carol Stream Center staff with reception and clerical duties.
- Answer phones.
- Assist faculty, staff, students and visitors to center.
- Schedule appointments using web‑based systems.
- Straighten classrooms.
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
- If a first‑semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
- If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
- Experience
- Previous customer service experience with good communication and technical skills required.
- Knowledge of College of DuPage programs and procedures preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications
- COD Training.
- Copier, computer, telephone, fax machine.
- This student position requires the following tests:
Background Check.
Work Schedule – Federal Work Study Student Position 1
Tuesday & Thursday: 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Saturday – Every other Saturday: 7:30 am to 1:00 pm
Work Schedule – Federal Work Study Student Position 2
Monday & Wednesday: 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Saturday – Every other Saturday: 7:30 am to 1:00 pm
Pay Rate: Student Rate 1 – $15.00 per hour
