Supervisor Store 1 – Part‑time – Indianapolis, IN

Job Summary:
Works autonomously managing a store's functions, supervising a team of store clerks, clerical employees, and/or volunteers. Responsible for hiring, firing, attendance tracking, training, expense reporting, inventory, store displays, and daily operations.
- Lead and supervise store employees, performing attendance tracking and staffing decisions.
- Hire and train staff, provide ongoing coaching and performance reviews.
- Prepare weekly schedules, order supplies, and manage expense reports.
- Receive shipments, maintain accurate inventory, and monitor store metrics.
- Ensure correct price tags, store displays, and proper use of purchase cards.
- Participate in monthly manager meetings and present store reports.
- Oversee keys and store funds security; ensure safety of employees and customers.
- Respond to customer inquiries and maintain customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, and at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Complete internal customer‑service training within one month of hire.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic technical systems and tools.
- Intermediate math, reading, computer, and cashiering skills.
- Excellent communication skills and proven leadership.
- Ability to resolve routine questions independently.
- Available to work scheduled hours, including Saturdays and holidays.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, stoop, bend, and lift up to 40 lb.
- Previous experience leading staff in a retail setting.
- Experience in a part‑time retail role (28 hours/week).
- Participation in a 401(k) plan.
