All About Visual MerchandisingThe Visual Merchandiser supports a delightful guest experience by setting and maintaining visual moments that drive sales and inspire guests. This role focuses on elevated merchandising techniques, mannequin styling, mapping, fixture blocking, and In‑Store Marketing (ISM) elements.
Key Opportunities- Retail business fundamentals: sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns, pricing, and promotion strategies.
- Planning and communicating department workload to support business priorities and achieve sales goals.
- Training and developing team members to enhance visual merchandising skills.
- Leading the strategy of visual merchandising and implementing Visual Standards.
- Plan daily/weekly visual workload with leader guidance to include sales goals, events, and promotions.
- Execute weekly visual assessments and collaborate with leaders to improve store visual execution.
- Ensure visual standards are applied consistently across the store.
- Support the company’s Visual Merchandising strategy and In‑Store Marketing (ISM) initiatives.
- Validate visual presentations in partnership with leaders.
- Set overhead spotlights to highlight key merchandising displays.
- Address merchandising issues and adjust sets to maintain inspiring presentations.
- Teach visual standards, signing, and affordability strategy to the team.
- Keep backroom space organized and manage signing tools and fixtures.
- Facilitate onboarding, continuous learning, and skill development.
- Demonstrate inclusivity, authenticity, respect, and equitable experiences.
- Adhere to safety policies and report hazards.
- Provide a welcoming experience for guests and assist with their needs.
- Perform other duties as needed to support business goals.
- Enjoy interacting with guests and team members.
- Excel in a fast‑moving, physically demanding role that values teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem‑solving.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of visual merchandising experience.
- Minimum age of 18.
- Business acumen and creativity to inspire guests and drive sales.
- Strong understanding of trends and style aligned with our brand.
- Leadership ability to influence and guide store teams.
- Proficiency with handheld devices, scanners, and technology.
- Independent and collaborative work style.
- Prioritization and workload management skills.
- Positive, welcoming attitude toward guests and team members.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to remain composed in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Operate a Work Assist Vehicle (WAV) or pallet jack as required.
- Interpret instructions, reports, and information.
- Accurate cash handling operations when needed.
- Climb ladders for store maintenance.
- Efficiently lift and move merchandise up to 15 lbs routinely, and up to 44 lbs occasionally, without extra help.
- Remain mobile throughout the shift.
