The general pay scale for this position at MOH is $69,074.45 - $ per year. The actual hiring rate is dependent on many factors, including but not limited to prior work experience, education, job/position responsibilities, location, work performance, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, provide professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of physiological, psychological, and developmental and age-specific differences in the patient population (late adolescence, adulthood, middle age, elderly).
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assess and manage patient/family needs.
  • Support and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
  • Assess health status by interviewing patients regarding current status and medical history; collect and record nursing assessment and interventions.
  • Review and report health status, physical examination results, labs, radiographic data, and psychosocial assessment to the provider.
  • Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material; provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Prepare and administer therapies under physician direction and supervision, including:
    • Administer medications/blood products with correct dosage, route, timing, and technique.
    • Ensure pre-authorization and appropriate consent forms where applicable.
    • Facilitate dose modification by assessing patient status and labs, consulting protocol/treatment plan, calculating dose, and consulting the physician as needed.
    • Perform venipuncture, access implanted ports, and maintain central line catheter devices.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and treatments; apply knowledge of reimbursement and charge capture.
  • Maintain the work environment, including restocking supplies, following OSHA guidelines for cytotoxic agents and biohazardous waste, maintaining disinfection protocols, and maintaining equipment per quality control standards.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and patient care, including:
    • Manage patient medication refill requests and document in patient charts.
    • Assist physicians with exams and procedures; maintain efficient patient flow in/out of exam rooms.
    • Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre-testing, diagnostics, referrals, and future appointments.
    • Triages patient calls and documents information in charts; facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team; coordinate services related to patient care; assist patients in locating community resources.
  • Interprofessional collaboration
    • Assist and collaborate with clinical research; serve as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants; provide nursing coverage for satellite offices as needed.
    • Mentor/preceptor and provide day-to-day guidance to less experienced nurses; participate in professional development and ongoing oncology nursing education.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):
  • Education/Training – Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Must maintain continuing education requirements.
  • Business Experience – 3-5 years nursing experience including at least one year in oncology preferred.
  • Specialized Knowledge/Skills – Oncology certification preferred.

  • Physical Requirements – Requires full range of body motion, dexterity, standing/walking for extended periods, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Infusion RN
  • Key Responsibilities:

    Programs portable infusion pumps for continuous drug delivery and provides instruction on pump use at home; maintains pumps, cleans after use, and documents pump usage.
  • Minimum

    Job Qualifications:

    Infusion nursing; chemotherapy/Immunotherapy provider card preferred.
