Third Shift – Tier 2 SOC Analyst

Job Overview

Contract to Hire position based out of Carmel, IN.

• Advanced Threat Analysis:
  Investigate complex security incidents (malware analysis, log correlation, network traffic analysis) to identify root causes and attack scope.
• Incident Response:
  Lead containment, eradication, and recovery for moderate to high‑severity incidents following client playbooks and coordinating with other business units.
• Threat Hunting:
  Proactively search for indicators of compromise (IOCs) and advanced persistent threats (APTs) targeting client infrastructure using SIEM, threat intelligence, and other tools.
• Alert Tuning:
  Optimize SIEM rules, filters, and alerts to reduce false positives and improve detection accuracy for client critical systems.
• Escalation Management:
  Serve as the primary point of contact for incidents escalated from Analyst I, providing guidance and ensuring timely resolution to protect client operations.
• Documentation and Reporting:
  Create comprehensive incident reports, including technical details, timelines, and recommendations for preventing recurrence, for client leadership and regulatory reporting.
• Mentorship:
  Provide guidance and training to Analysts I, fostering professional development and enhancing team capabilities.
• Process Improvement:
  Contribute to development and refinement of client processes, playbooks, and SOPs to strengthen cybersecurity operations.
• Threat Intelligence Integration:
  Leverage threat intelligence feeds specific to the energy sector to enrich incident analysis and improve client detection capabilities.
• Continuous Learning:
  Stay informed about emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
• Complete all other duties as assigned.

Contract to Hire based out of Carmel, IN.

$30.00–$40.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits. Benefits may include:
