Description
Direct Support Professional (DSP) provides support and skills training to people with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a residential setting and within the community.
Day ServicesDay Services are available to all adults during daytime hours, giving you the opportunity to join with people who are like-minded and can appreciate shared experiences. Along with learning, developing, and building on skills, there are also trips to the library, museums, and Putnam County’s many parks and trails.
Training and CertificationAn informative, paid new hire orientation is provided in a comfortable learning environment. Training will also include Van Certification, SCIP, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration certification.
Minimum Requirements- High School Diploma or GED is desired.
- Post‑high‑school education in Human Services is a definite plus.
- Acceptable NYS driver’s license.
- Basic computer knowledge.
20 hours weekly – Monday thru Friday 8:00 a‑12:00 p.
Starting Salary$18.94 – $20.84 per hour.
