The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is one of the most important roles within our organization. As an RBT, you will implement your patient’s individualized program written by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), you will help your patient learn new skills that benefit them and their family. Targets include social, communication, vocational, and life skills. Services are implemented in the most appropriate setting for the patient and can include the therapy center, home, school, workplace, and/or other community-based settings.
The RBT position offers variety as each day can look a little different.

- Highly competitive pay starting at $19/hour with benefits

- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 18 years of age
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, reliable and safe vehicle, and a clean driving record
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and engage in physical activities as needed
- RBT certification or, if not certified at time of offer, must be attained within the orientation/training period (staff are paid for training and Little Star covers the cost)
Position operates in a clinical environment and may include offsite locations such as a patient’s home, school, or place of employment. The role will be expected to work at multiple sites with multiple patients. This position is not eligible for telecommuting.
Physical DemandsThe role requires a physically active stance with movement throughout the building to various locations during therapy. The environment can be open, with bright lights and a loud activity level. The employee must be able to talk and hear, stand, walk, run, climb stairs, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with arms. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and implement physical management procedures as needed.
