The Role

Clare Bridge Program Assistants support the Clare Bridge Program Manager or Coordinator in delivering person‑centered, dementia‑friendly programming for residents in Brookdale’s communities. This position offers opportunities for advancement to roles such as Clare Bridge Program Manager, Resident Programs Coordinator, or Business Office Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in presenting and engaging residents in the seven domains of well‑being programs—purposeful, intellectual, social, spiritual, emotional, and physical—within a dementia‑friendly, structured environment.
  • Support the review of individual resident service plans and complete program documentation as required by Brookdale standards or state regulations.
  • Ensure program compliance with state, federal and Brookdale policies, procedures and standards.
  • Provide guidance to associates on the importance of programming and engagement to enhance resident quality of life.
  • Coordinate and participate in special community events such as family socials, marketing/sales activities and open houses.
  • Communicate positively with residents, families and community professionals about the dementia care program and its benefits.
  • Assist with the department’s quality improvement initiatives, including the Brookdale Excellence Standards Tool (BEST).
  • Support planning and execution of programming events outside the community, which may include driving a community motor vehicle.
  • Assist with volunteer program administration, including training and supervision.
  • Perform personal care, housekeeping and dietary duties as needed to maintain service quality in line with Clare Bridge Program standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum one year of experience with older adults and persons with dementia preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean 3‑year driving abstract.
Physical Demands
  • Standing, walking, sitting, using hands and arms for tasks.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional weekend, evening or night work; on‑call as needed.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases, latex, blood‑borne pathogens and other hazards.
