***** Summary
* * The Radiologic Technologist (RT) works with Medical Providers and/or Medical Assistants with the examination and treatment of Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for providing a variety of technical procedures and applying prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis for our Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care patients. This role is responsible for performing and analyzing patient x-rays and reporting results to Medical Providers.

Additional responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care Centers. In a collaborative manner, the Radiologic Technologist will provide support to Medical Providers, Medical Assistants and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication.

** Job Requirements
**** Education
* ** High School Diploma required
* Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist program required
** Work Experience
*** Experience in a clinical setting preferred
** Required Licenses/Certifications
*** Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire, obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA).
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required at time of hire.
* State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required at the time of hire (if applicable by state law).
** Essential Functions
*** Responsible for x-ray services as needed
* Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
* Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
* May need to push patient in a wheelchair
