We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Equities Research Analyst
. This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills and a passion for financial markets. You will assist in conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing reports that support investment decisions.
- Equity Due Diligence:
- Source and perform the necessary initial due diligence on potential investment opportunities for Sapient Capital’s internally managed equity portfolios through the development of a thesis and suitability assessment for inclusion in client portfolios.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of our managed equity portfolios to ensure the suitability of individual investments holds true.
- Monitor substantial news, market movements, earnings reports, and other changing trends that may affect our model and submit recommendations for action, as appropriate.
- Investment Team Support:
- Assist in the development of trading models and strategies to enhance performance and minimize risk.
- Provide analysis and ad hoc reporting for internal management needs when requested including researching new sectors, securities, and/or managers.
- Maintain and update financial models and databases.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of data used for decision-making.
- Assist with compliance-related monitoring and reporting as directed.
- Provide other operational/administrative support to senior team members as needed.
- Market Research and Communication:
- Prepare presentations, board materials, investment memorandums, and other communication pieces to communicate findings and recommendations as directed.
- Assist with the coordination of investment education webinars including drafting announcements, tracking attendance, and ensuring consistent follow-up activities occur.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university. Majors in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred. An equivalent blend of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the financial services industry or a related research role. Series 65 and/or active CFA pursuit highly desirable.
- Familiar with equity markets, securities, and trading strategies including typical tools/software. Proficiency with Bloomberg and Fact Set strongly preferred.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
