Salary Range
: $73,700 – $110,500 Annual
Job Details
• 40I86 Advisors is hiring a Sr. Staff Accountant, Investment Accounting.
• Work spans post-trade execution through preparing investment deliverables that feed into GAAP and statutory statements.
• Hybrid capacity, approximately 3 days on-site at Carmel, IN.
- Support the Investment Accounting management team with project work and process improvements
- Research, create, and develop investment reports for various fixed income investment types
- Analyze investment results at granular levels to support asset class and legal entity reporting
- Prepare, analyze, and report detailed expense reporting, tracking performance against budget and forecast
- Assist staff with cash balancing, reviewing GL entries, trial balance reconciliation, and statutory reporting
- Process complex investment activity, investigating and correcting investment subledger entries
- Coach and train less experienced members within the department
- Validate data integrity in the subledger
- Prepare monthly and quarterly work papers and report deliverables to support ledger balances and disclosures
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve reporting balances and variances as needed
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and financial skills with strong attention to detail
- Proven experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong sense of urgency, prioritization, and meeting deadlines
- Aptitude for data analysis and learning new systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
- 5 years of related experience
- Proficiency in accounting concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- CPA, CFA and/or MBA (preferred)
- Proven experience with investment accounting concepts and statutory reporting
- Experience with investment administration systems and reporting building

Applicants must reside within a 60-mile radius of the Carmel Corporate Office and may be required to travel to other corporate offices. Work cannot be performed outside the United States.
