Job Title: Implementation Engineer

Theoris is assisting our client, with a search for an Implementation Engineer to support implementation of newly approved planning resource accreditation reform. This role will be a mix of supporting ongoing base business activities with particular focus on identifying and implementing streamlining opportunities, and assisting the project team with overall implementation of the new reform. The position emphasizes advanced data manipulation, complex calculation logic, exception handling, and delivery of final work products.
This assignment is expected to require a higher level of analytical capability due to the complexity and nuance of the Schedule 53B methodology.
- Data Analysis: Understand and apply inputs for Schedule 53B (recently approved planning resource accreditation methodology). Perform calculations based on straightforward mathematics but governed by complex logic and nuanced calculation approaches.
- Problem Solving: Analyze and resolve complex implementation challenges, including situations where required data sources may not exist and must be developed as part of the implementation effort.
- Organization: Assist in establishing milestones and managing work toward established project timelines while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Critical Thinking: Evaluate available information, systems, and data sources to challenge assumptions and help define appropriate calculation methodologies aligned to Schedule 53B requirements.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional implementation teams and stakeholders to support successful delivery of reform initiatives.
- Data Tool Development: Support development of complex calculation tools and analytical solutions using large, granular datasets.
- Domain Support: Provide insight into end-use electric equipment and customer behavior as it relates to planning resource accreditation.
- Strong analytical background with experience handling complex logic and calculation methodologies.
- Experience developing or supporting complex analytical tools and data solutions.
- Experience with query tools, Python, or similar data manipulation technologies preferred.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and advanced problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience working with large, complex datasets.
- Exposure to the electric utility industry preferred.
- Experience with end-use electric equipment, Demand Response, or Demand Side Management is highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage work against defined timelines.
- Must be local to the Indianapolis area or willing to relocate; onsite presence required four days per week.
