Overview
Global Sales Executive (20104) at PGL (Perimeter Global Logistics). This role focuses on selling PGL services across a major geographical area, providing superior customer support to partners and prospects, and building strategic partnerships with existing clients and new businesses in need of customized logistics solutions.
Responsibilities- Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain features, and solicit orders.
- Recommend products to customers based on their needs and interests.
- Answer questions about products, prices, availability, uses, and credit terms.
- Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
- Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and provide ongoing support.
- Maintain business relationships with accounts and develop new opportunities.
- Provide customer service to assigned accounts through an understanding of business requirements.
- Manage key or specific customer accounts.
- Ensure execution of developed sales strategies, objectives, goals, and revenue generation.
- Maintain contact with key markets by visiting and investigating operations and local conditions.
- Plan and implement sales programs for one or more product lines.
- Ensure activities align with developed sales objectives and advertising or promotional programs.
- Evaluate and analyze new products and international market opportunities.
- Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
- Collaborate with operational teams to develop pricing and rate schedules.
- Review operational records to project sales and determine profitability.
- Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
- Prepare sales forecasts and coordinate with departments on advertising services and equipment specifications.
- Discover global supply solutions for customers concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, and customer issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics solutions with business systems or processes.
- Identify global supply chain solutions covering acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, recycling, reuse, or disposal of resources.
- Negotiate with customers to improve supply chain efficiency while maximizing PGL margins.
- Analyze financial impact of proposed logistics changes (routing, modes, volumes, or carriers).
- Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency for customers.
- Analyze customer logistics to determine cost-effective transportation methods.
- Communicate with external parties to represent the organization to customers and other stakeholders.
- Consult with clients after sales to resolve problems and provide ongoing support.
- Develop constructive working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
- Observe, gather, and obtain information from relevant sources.
Education and Experience
Years of
Experience:
1-3 years in sales with a 3PL / Freight Forwarding organization
Education:
Industry-related degree and/or certification preferred
