Construction Estimator - Construction Access - Base Salary to 100k/year - Carlstadt, NJ

• Our client is a well-established access solutions provider serving commercial and industrial construction customers across the New York metro market. They are known for strong field execution, cross functional collaboration, and a practical approach to solving complex site access challenges through customized solutions and responsive branch support.
• They are adding a Construction Estimator to support the motorized access/open shop hoist side of the business from their Carlstadt, NJ branch. This is a hybrid estimating and sales support role that works closely with senior Outside Sales Representatives and internal teams to scope jobs early, build accurate project specific estimates, and help prevent scope and pricing leakage at the front end of projects.

• Support senior Outside Sales Representatives on project opportunities across the NY metro region.
• Assist with early-stage project review and kickoff scoping to identify job requirements and clarify scope.
• Prepare estimates and quotes for access related projects, including hoist and motorized access scopes.
• Build project specific pricing and proposal inputs for jobs that vary in complexity and conditions.
• Identify potential scope gaps or pricing leakage early and help improve quote accuracy.
• Coordinate directly with branch departments to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and align on deliverables.
• Manage estimate revisions as project details change during the sales cycle.
• Use Excel and internal quoting tools to support pricing, cost management, and quote development.
• Work within internal systems, including a Salesforce based quoting tool (Safe Quote).
• Provide estimating support that helps improve win rate, margin protection, and execution readiness.

• 3+ years of experience in construction estimating, project coordination, inside sales support, or preconstruction within scaffolding, access solutions, hoists, or related specialty construction, required
• Experience building customized estimates, not just template based or copy/paste quotes.
• Familiarity with Excel and general pricing/cost management.
• Comfortable in an office based, highly collaborative branch environment (ideally in office daily).
• NY metro construction experience and familiarity working with GCs is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with NYC code and municipalities/agencies such as DOB, FDNY, MTA, and Port Authority is a plus.
