Staff Accountant

Location: Carlstadt, New Jersey (In-Person during probation | Hybrid thereafter)

A well-established consumer goods company is hiring a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting and finance operations. The role is based in Carlstadt, NJ and reports directly to the CFO.

This position goes beyond basic staff accounting and offers exposure to broader financial operations and improvement projects. It is a good fit for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands‑on experience and regular interaction with senior leadership.

• Assist with general ledger activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management
• Help prepare financial reports and basic analysis
• Work closely with the CFO on accounting tasks and ad‑hoc projects
• Support process improvements and system enhancements
• Maintain accurate and organized accounting records

• 1–3+ years of accounting or finance experience
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Comfortable working with accounting systems and financial data
• Organized, detail‑oriented, and reliable
  
  Team‑oriented and comfortable working in a small office environment
• Able to work on‑site during the probation period, with hybrid flexibility afterward
• Salary range: $60,000 – $70,000
