Journeyman Electrician

Overview

We are seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as Journeyman Electricians. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the electrician in various aspects of electrical maintenance, repair, and construction. Your primary duties will include assisting with the preparation and assembly of apparatus, maintaining cleanliness in work areas, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, the ability to operate various tools, and a commitment to upholding company policies and procedures.

• Electrical Maintenance, Repair, and Construction:
  Executing various tasks related to electrical maintenance, repair, and construction projects;
  Prepare and assemble necessary apparatus required for specific tasks.
• Maintain Clean And Organized Work Areas:
  Keep work areas clean and organized by picking up scrap wire, boxes, and other discarded materials;
  Assist with the cleaning of protective equipment, including hot sticks and rubber goods.
• Utilize Hand And Power Tools:
  Use various hand and power tools to perform tasks efficiently and safely.
• Material Handling:
  Assist in loading various materials onto trucks and/or trailers as needed.
• Cable Stripping And Termination:
  Demonstrate knowledge of materials and processes required to strip and terminate cables.
• Electrical Testing And Inspection:
  Perform electrical testing, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair on equipment and systems.
• Recordkeeping:
  Accurately read and record meter data;
  Maintain electrical records and schedules.
• Technical Expertise:
  Wire 120v, 240v, 480v, and low voltage systems;
  Knowledge of instrumentation, PLC/control panel wiring, and the ability to read electrical CAD drawings.
• Compliance And Customer Service:
  Comply with all company policies and procedures;
  Work collaboratively with contractors to provide a high level of customer service.
• Code Compliance:
  Stay updated on current NEC Codes and ensure adherence during all electrical work.
• Other Duties:
  Perform any other duties as assigned by the electrician or supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NM Journeyman License
• Previous Experience In a Similar Role Is Preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and components.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
