Job DescriptionWe are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Compressor Technician to service, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of compressor systems supporting production and facility operations. This role involves hands-on work with vapor recovery units (VRUs), gas lift compressors, and instrument air systems to ensure reliable performance, regulatory compliance, and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities- Service, maintain, and troubleshoot compressor systems, including VRUs, gas lift compressors, and instrument air compressors
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control issues and implement effective solutions
- Monitor compressor performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency
- Perform startup, shutdown, and operational checks as required
- Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and best practices
- Coordinate with operations and maintenance personnel to minimize equipment downtime
- Support commissioning of new or modified compressor installations as needed
- Maintain tools, parts, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
- Experience servicing and maintaining industrial or process compressors
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of compressor systems, rotating equipment, and auxiliary components
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and basic schematics
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Oilfield or energy-industry experience
- Experience with VRU, gas lift, or instrument air compressor systems
- Basic electrical or controls troubleshooting experience
- Technical training or certification related to mechanical or industrial maintenance
Pay: $35-$45/per hour
