Pay Range: $17/hour. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

POSITION SUMMARY INFORMATION: DUTIES AND REQUIREMENTS

Position Summary: Responsible for preparing and cooking meals, maintaining a clean and sanitized kitchen and work space.

• Preparation and execution of current menu items
• Able to prep and cook entire meals during shift
• NM Serve Safe certification REQUIRED
• Maintain solid knowledge of food products and skillfully apply culinary techniques
• Restock kitchen supplies and food items required for service
• Properly label and date products to ensure safekeeping and sanitation
• Work as a team, assist all guests and employees needs and inquiries
• Communicate with management and service staff to fulfill and address any issue or needs requested by guests and employees
• Monitor stock
• Cleaning restrooms, Gym and Recreation Center regularly.
• Perform other job-related duties as requested

• Proven experience as a cook
• Knowledge of principles and practices of food service management, including food value and costs
• Experience in using cutting tools, cookware, and bakeware
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling, etc.)
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
• Ability to work in a team
• Excellent communication skills and Ability to understand and follow directions and effectively communicate in English both verbally and in writing
• Previous experience as a server in a restaurant or hospitality environment; fine dining/customer service experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work well with others in a positive and professional manner
• Due to the nature of our work and the interaction with the public where social distancing may not be available, we prefer that employees be vaccinated against COVID.

Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.

The physical demands listed below, though not fully inclusive, are that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. The employee is occasionally required to stand;

climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
