This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, floating and call required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will hold shift accountability for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital policy and procedures. The registered nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the safe delivery of care in the Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough assessments and effectively communicate findings.
• Administer medications and monitor for side effects.
• Delegate patient care priorities as appropriate based on the education and experience of available staff.
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and training.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience required.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC are required.
• Preferred certifications include ENPC and NRP.
