Job Title: Travel Emergency Room RN – Nights

Start Date: ASAP

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Location: New Mexico (Fingerprinting Required for All NM Travelers)

Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Facility Type: Emergency Department – Level 3 Trauma

Beds in Unit: 13

Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4 – 1:5

Call Requirements: None

EMR System: Med Host (EDIS)

Scrub Color: Any

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team at a Level 3 Trauma Center. This high-acuity, fast-paced environment demands clinical excellence, confidence, and critical thinking. The RN is responsible for providing direct, safe, and compassionate patient care using the nursing process in compliance with hospital policies and state regulations.



Key Responsibilities

• Perform focused patient assessments and respond promptly to changing conditions
• Administer medications safely and monitor for adverse reactions
• Accurately document all aspects of care and patient response
• Supervise and delegate duties to assigned personnel
• Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards
• Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
• Utilize sound clinical judgment and leadership in emergency situations

• Active RN license (NM or compact state)
• Minimum 2 years’ recent Emergency Room experience required
• Certifications
  
  Required:
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Certifications Preferred:
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

• Max RTO: 1 request per 6-week schedule
• Scheduling Format: 6-week blocks
